WATERVILLE — Police are searching for the man who robbed Walgreens in downtown Waterville on Feb. 11.
The pharmacy at the corner of Center and Main streets reported the robbery that day, saying it occurred in the early evening.
Police said the suspect — described as white, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and between 50 and 60 years old — fled on foot with undisclosed medication and cash.
“Before releasing information to the public like this, we try to follow all leads,” Deputy Chief Bill Bonney of the Waterville Police Department said Tuesday. “We try to hold on to that investigative data as long as we can in case we can get a search warrant.
“We’ve been actively following up on leads since the 11th, and we’re looking for more.”
A Walgreens manager declined to comment.
Following the robbery, the suspect fled the store before police arrived. Officers canvassed the area, including using a police dog in their search for the suspect.
Anyone with information should call Detective Chase Fabian at 207-680-4708.
